Full of personality
Green has found its way into the upstairs bathroom, too! Large-format green tiles and marble-patterned flooring tie the bathroom design to the living area, creating a sense of cohesion and harmony throughout the home. The bathroom is also highly functional, featuring a spacious, comfortable shower enclosure, a freestanding corner bathtub, and an elegant vanity unit with a sink and a large wall mirror. It is the perfect bathroom for long, relaxing baths!
The family-oriented nature of this interior is well illustrated by the space beneath the stairs, where the client requested a children's play area; this gives the little ones a sense of privacy and coziness while they play, yet allows parents to keep an eye on them from the living area. Over time, the space can be repurposed once the children no longer need it.
The dining area centers on a large table and comfortable chairs—where further accents of bottle green come into play. Large windows admit an abundance of natural light and offer a beautiful view of the garden. The lighting combines the elegance of simple wall-mounted cylinders in a brushed gold finish with eclectic, playful pendant lights featuring colored glass; this duality and blend of styles reflects the multifaceted nature of the clients.
The living area, featuring a media wall, stands out thanks to beautiful green wallpaper patterned with a somewhat abstract rose motif. Against the dark wallpaper, the large TV recedes slightly, allowing other interior elements to shine—such as the large modular sofa set on elegant, slender legs. The window drapery echoes the color of the wallpaper, and the color reappears elsewhere, creating a cohesive overall design.
A bold, open-plan kitchen in dark tones, featuring a full-wall cabinetry unit and an island. Black granite is used for both the countertop and the backsplash. A wall clad in marble-patterned tiles provides a contrast to the graphite cabinetry and black countertop.
Beyond serving multiple functions, the living area was designed to reflect the client’s vibrant personality, the needs of the entire family, and her husband’s taste—resulting in a fascinating and unconventional interior design! The arrangement blends elegance, the warmth of natural wood, and the calm freshness of bottle green with bold contrasts and luxurious materials.
